For decades, the festival has presented high-class productions and projects from all branches of contemporary art. The program focuses on the interplay of music, performance and visual arts, literature and new media.
This year, the festival brings together over forty works. As usual, steirischer herbst will be accompanied by ORF musikprotokoll, the literature festival Out of Joint and a diverse parallel program.
In addition to performances, the autumn cabaret, artist talks and discussions, four exhibitions form the heart of this year’s edition and take visitors on a journey of discovery through the city and its history. Demon Radio in the Grazer Hügelland, Villa Perpetuum Mobile in the Forum Stadtpark, Church of Ruined Modernity in the Minorite Monastery and Minorite Center Graz and Submarine Frieda at Griesplatz. Opening hours: Tue-Thu 11 am-7 pm. Entrance free!
