Destination: AT-Nordburgenland-Neusiedler See

Welcome to Northern Burgenland, welcome to Neusiedler See!

The Neusiedler See region is an impressive natural jewel that impresses nature lovers, connoisseurs, sports enthusiasts and families alike.

Wide grasslands, sandy steppes, gentle hills with vineyards, forests, romantic river landscapes and the Neusiedler See always on the horizon. A setting of unparalleled beauty that is wonderful to explore on foot, by bike or by the water by ferry or canoe.

No matter what time of year you visit the Neusiedler See, the fascinating nature and charm of the region always inspire.

When there is still snow in many places in March, you can already enjoy the warm spring rays of sunshine at the Neusiedler See. The first wine taverns open and invite you to linger with a good snack and a glass of wine. The sunny days of the year are caught in the grapes and the numerous winegrowers and wineries ensure with their fine wines that connoisseurs' hearts beat faster all year round.

Wine and culinary delights are also celebrated at many festivals in all regions throughout the year.

Burgenland's cultural scene also offers a varied programme for culture lovers. From opera, operetta, classical offerings, rock, pop to rousing musicals. In the summer months, the lake festival in Mörbisch and the opera in the quarry in St. Margarethen are among the absolute highlights.

Numerous museums, exhibitions and cultural tours round off the programme. Imposing castles and palaces are also among the most special landmarks of the Neusiedler See region!
