Special exhibition BioInspiration

As Austria’s largest technology museum, the Vienna Technical Museum sees itself as a place of learning where technology is an experience! Technology and natural sciences surround us and determine our daily lives – TM Vienna invites its visitors, depending on their interest and age, to get to know and experience a wide variety of fields of technology and the history of technology.

Travelharry tip: A new special exhibition (until August 2023) shows the potential of bionics for innovation and sustainability:

The special exhibition “BioInspiration” from the Parque de las Ciencias in Granada shows how solutions from nature can be imitated in technology and, with more than 200 objects, media installations and interactive stations, invites you on an amazing journey through the most diverse application areas of bionics. Examples from traffic, materials science, energy, architecture and design, urban planning, medicine, sports and space research can be seen.

Scientific and technical findings are clearly explained with actual application examples and linked to current innovation and research projects. The special focus of the exhibition is on innovations that impress with their efficiency, sustainability and adaptability, and that develop solutions to the major challenges of our time such as the energy transition, climate crisis and environmental protection.
